VAG CLIP UDS Device V2 – Professional Key Learning Tool for VW/Seat/Škoda with Immo IV (Non-MQB) Dashboards
The VAG CLIP UDS Device V2 is a professional-grade key learning tool specifically designed for VW, Seat, and Škoda vehicles equipped with Immo IV (non-MQB) dashboards produced by VDO between 2008 and 2017. These dashboards utilize EEPROM memory for storing non-volatile data, and the device ensures safe and precise key programming without affecting the vehicle’s internal systems.
Key Features:
-
Dedicated for Immo IV vehicles (non-MQB) with UDS dashboards.
-
Compatible with EEPROM types 24C32 and 24C64.
-
LED indicators guide the key learning process with clear success and error signals.
-
Includes OBDII connection and clip for direct EEPROM read/write.
-
Supports both transponder keys and TA32 key emulator for 2016+ vehicles.
-
Safe, precise, and reliable for professional locksmiths and automotive technicians.
How to Learn a Key:
-
Ensure all DIP switches are set correctly: SW1–SW8 should be OFF; SW9 and SW10 are cut and should never be touched.
-
Place a new key or transponder in the ignition and turn it ON.
-
Connect the device to the vehicle OBDII port. The LED will flash green, signaling that you should attach the clip to the dashboard EEPROM.
-
Dismount the dashboard and connect the clip to 24C32 or 24C64 EEPROM. The LED will turn red during the read/write operation: ~1 second for 24C32, and ~3.5–4 seconds for 24C64. Do not disconnect during this phase to prevent damage.
-
Once the operation is complete, the LED turns green, indicating the dashboard can now be reconnected to the vehicle. Keep the device in the OBDII port while reconnecting.
-
The device will then start working with intensive blinking. After several seconds (~3–4 sec for 24C32, ~18–120 sec for 24C64), the LED will flash slowly green, confirming successful key learning.
-
In case of an error, the LED flashes red fast. Any other blinking pattern indicates the device is still processing.
Important Notes:
-
Always read the dashboard EEPROM first to create a backup before starting the procedure.
-
For vehicles from 2016 onward, use the TA32 key emulator instead of a transponder.
-
If the LED remains constantly green after connection, finish the previous procedure or reset the device by adjusting DIP switches SW1, SW3, SW5, SW7 to ON and SW2, SW4, SW6, SW8 to OFF, then reconnect to OBDII.
The VAG CLIP UDS Device V2 is a reliable, safe, and indispensable tool for automotive locksmiths and technicians working with modern VW, Seat, and Škoda Immo IV cars.
