⚙️ How to Use the BMW L8 Key REMOTE Device OBD2
1. Configure the Device
Before starting, set the device according to the type of key you wish to program:
-
Switch 2 UP → Transponder Key
-
Switch 4 UP → Remote Key
-
Switch 5 UP → Keyless-Go Key
2. Wake Up the Vehicle
Turn the headlights ON and OFF or press the central locking button several times to wake up the car’s ECU system.
3. Start Programming
-
Place the new key into the device’s antenna slot.
-
Plug the device into the vehicle’s OBD2 port.
If the LED blinks rapidly for 10–15 minutes, a re-flash may be required.
4. Wait for the LED Signal
Once the LED stays green for 4–5 seconds, move the key from the antenna to the ignition slot, and press the Start/Stop button to illuminate the cluster (do not start the engine).
5. Programming Process
After 10 seconds, the LED will begin to blink rapidly—this means the programming process is active.
When the LED stays green again, quickly move the key from the ignition back to the device’s antenna (within 10 seconds).
6. Success Confirmation
-
✅ Green LED blinking → Programming Successful
-
❌ Red LED blinking → Programming Failed (restart the procedure)
